"I don't do patrols, I don't go hunting, I just stick close to you. You live your life. I'll keep you safe," Tamani said, sweeping a lock of hair from her face. "Or die trying."

Laurel hasn't seen Tamani since she begged him to let her go last year. Though her heart still aches, Laurel is confident that David was the right choice.

But just as life returns to normal, Laurel realizes that a hidden enemy lies in wait. Once again, Laurel must turn to Tamani to protect and guide her, for the danger that now threatens Avalon is one that no faerie thought would ever be possible. And for the first time, Laurel cannot be sure that her side will prevail.

My Review: Here's the thing when I purchased this book  I intially thought that this was a single story, but after looking online I came to find that there had been two books written before this one. I have since bought Spells and will be purchasing the first one next week. After Reading this Book first instead of last (yes that's what I did)  I have completely fallen In love with Aprilynne's enchanted world and storytelling. I feel as If I am living in this world she has so brilliantly put together (My taste in books are still alive!) I loved the plot and I love the characters. Laurel Is  a sweet girl who grows up in the Human world, but when a flower begins to blossom on her back, she starts to think? something is terribly wrong with herself, until she meets goodlooking sentry Tamani he reveals to her that she is not Human but a faerie, Through out the story she tries to choose between the Love she has with David and the guy that could truly be her soulmate. All the while trying to solve a nysetery as too who this Unknown character that makes their appearance in the beginning and why Klea wants her to protect her. Again beautiful plotline wonderful story

End Note: If you haven't read Wings,Spells or Illusions my suggestion to you is that you go out and pick up a copy,  or ask your parents to but it for you, I promise you wont be disappointed
