Divergent by Veronica Roth

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtueÂ-Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really isÂ-she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.
During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really areÂ-and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves . . . or it might destroy her.
Debut author Veronica Roth bursts onto the literary scene with the first book in the Divergent seriesÂ-dystopian thrillers filled with electrifying decisions, heartbreaking betrayals, stunning consequences, and unexpected romance.

This Book is absolutely without a doubt one of the best reads for the Summer if you haven't bought it yet. you should. At first i thought this book was going to be boring, but i am also they type of person who doesn't just buy a book because i liked the cover. No in fact after reading a couple of pages i began to really like the story, and also the way Veronica tells the story through 16 year. old Beatrice(Tris) Prior, who has to choose which fraction she wants to be with for the rest of her life, with only two options and one of them being a choice that could potientally lead to her death she choose's Dauntless, A faction known for its Bravery. On her first day she meets a serective but fascinating 18 yr.old Four, who has taken a liking to her, as she is set to complete her initiation and become a full Dauntless member. she comes  to find out  that another faction has plotted revenge on her old faction, with the help of Four can she save Abnegation before its too late... Veronica Roth is an upcoming an author with two more books in the Divergent trilogy set to be released in 2012 and 2013, she also announced that the sequel to the next book has been titled  Insurgent.

Hi there!

I am Patch's advocate in the YA Crush Tournament and I see that you are a fan of Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush Hush saga so I am personally reaching out to you to help spread the word about his next match where he will be up against Peeta from The Hunger Games!

It takes place over at The YA Sisterhood on Friday, July 22nd until midnight on Saturday, July 23rd. During the first round, people were able to vote as many times as they liked, but this round the votes are constricted down to ONE VOTE PER COMPUTER, so we really need to call in Patch's reinforcements and get him to win! :)

Please come and vote on that day and until then, spread the word; let anyone and everyone know to VOTE PATCH!

THANK YOU!

-Momo

P.S. I have a few Patch buttons on the top right sidebar of my blog, so if you want to grab one and put it on your blog to help further promote Patch, I would be grateful. If you do get a button, please put VOTE PATCH on 7/22/11 somewhere to clue people in! Again, thank you so much!
